Polish Short Face
- General Impression: A delicately built appearance with a square head. Tall, short beak. Large eyes with a wide cere. Stands tall and proud on its tip-toes. One of the smallest breeds of domestic birds.
- Head: Square shaped with defined marked edges, wide in front and narrows in back. Bones on top of skull are even and form an indentation on top of the skull.
- Eyes: Large, iris of a porcelain color, pupils small and round.
- Eye Cere: Wide, 3 evenly developed rings of fine structure, tight fit around the eye. Color goes from light to dark grey depending on the birds color, cannot go onto the head (unlike Budapest).
- Beak: Short, wide at base, blunt, well closed, Both mandibles are equal length, Varies in color depending on the birds color, wattles are poorly developed, tightly fitting and powdered white, should look like a sunflower seed.
- Neck: Straight, wide at basis, throat well curved.
- Breast: Rounded,, protruding and carried slightly uplifted.
- Back: Short, wide between shoulders, slightly sloping,
- Wings: Tight fit to body, flights rest on tail.
- Tail: Made of 12 feathers, short, well packed.
- Legs: Fine built, medium length, clear of feathers, red in color, upper part is slightly hidden by belly feathers, color of claws matches color of the beak.
- Polish Szek: White, gray to black on primaries and secondaries, "pepper head" and neck is a must. Must have a black stripe going across the entire length of tail.
- Grizzle: heavily storked with double black wing bars.
- Staluch steel-blue: Possibly a light, clear blue with a steel blue sheen on the neck. Black bars on the wings and the tail.
